Out of Marietta, Georgia, Diana Palma is the Founder and President of Be4STEM, Inc. Her professional career led her to create Be4STEM, after 15 years working at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Diana retired as Assistant Director of Business Operations for the Nanotechnology Research Center (NRC) in the Institute of Electronics and Nanotechnology (IEN) at Georgia Tech. During which, she created and successfully implemented Dr. James D. Meindl’s Legacy Program “Teachable Moments for the Workforce of the Future” which inspired her development of the Be4STEM Character Crew. Throughout her career she worked with organizations to motivate K-12 students to choose STEM careers. The benefits of this life long path in STEM education are the direct output of Diana’s first complete unit of curriculum called Tiny Science released in 2017.
