Grades 4-7 | The Vancouver Aquarium, an Ocean Wise initiative, presents Arctic Adaptations - Nov 21, 2019 12:10pm EST
About this event:
The Arctic is one of the most extreme environments on the planet, and home to a diversity of arctic survivalists who are adapted for these intense conditions. Join an Ocean Wise Educator at the Vancouver Aquarium to explore some of these incredible animals and the unique characteristics they have that enable them to survive and possibly thrive in the unique Arctic conditions. As the Arctic conditions to change at an increasingly rapid rate, students will explore how these animals may be affected by the changing climate and how human actions have both a positive and negative impact on life all around the planet – even in the seemingly untouchable Arctic.
