While satellites provide us with access to TV, radio, and internet, they also clutter the space above Earth’s atmosphere. How many satellites are up there? Did you know there’s a graveyard orbit for dead satellites? And what are the dangers that all of this “space junk” poses? Come find out!

Dr. Valerie Rapson earned her Ph.D. in Astrophysical Sciences and Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently an Assistant Professor at SUNY Oneonta (formerly Chief Astronomer at Dudley Observatory).
