The Winter night sky has some of the most recognizable constellations, including Orion the hunter, Taurus the bull, and Gemini the twins. Once you’ve found Orion, you can easily navigate to the Pleiades star cluster, the Dog star Sirius, and many others. Join us as we learn about the stars and planets visible in the Winter Sky, and the science and history behind these objects.

Dr. Valerie Rapson earned her Ph.D. in Astrophysical Sciences and Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently an Assistant Professor at SUNY Oneonta (formerly Chief Astronomer at Dudley Observatory).
