Grades 6-12 | McLean Fletcher presents Why is Shakespeare So Great - Apr 9, 2021 11:10am EDT
About this event:
Classically trained actor McLean Fletcher shares her experiences working with Shakespeare’s text, and explains briefly why his plays and sonnets are so highly revered. Performing some of Shakespeare’s monologues, McLean will explain iambic pentameter and the rules and clues of approaching acting in verse. Discussion will explore the conspiracy theories over who Shakespeare really was, and why his plays still matter in a modern world. The class is high energy and fast pace in order to remain engaging and fun for students.
