Institute of Indigenous Learning at Fanshawe College

fanshawe

The Institute of Indigenous Learning provides academic services, social, cultural, and recreational activities as well as a comfortable atmosphere for our First Nations students. The Institute of Indigenous Learning (formerly known as the First Nations Centre) opened its doors in 1996 and has grown steadily since then. During the first year, there were 72 First Nations students registered with the Centre and that number has continued to grow.

Mission Statement

First Nations Status, Non-Status, Metis, and Inuit students at Fanshawe will find culturally supportive services and programs at the First Nations Centre (FNC). The FNC provides counselling, referrals and student activities, and is also the meeting place for First Nations Post-Secondary Education Counsellors and their students.
