The Paley Center for Media

The Paley Center for Media has an international collection of over 160,000 programs from over 70 countries covering almost 100 years of television and radio history, including news, public affairs programs and documentaries, performing arts programs, children programming, sports, comedy variety shows and commercial advertising. Using programs from the collection as a means of illustration and investigation, Paley Center educators lead workshops on a wide range of subjects.They seek to build analytical thinking, viewing and listening skills and attempt to build insight into the roles that television and radio play in our culture All classes are aligned with and support Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy and New York State Learning Standards for Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Visual Arts.

The Paley Center for Media, with locations in New York and Los Angeles, leads the discussion about the cultural, creative, and social significance of television, radio, and emerging platforms for the professional community and media-interested public.
